It is reported that United Artists Releasing, under Amazon MGM Studios, is making great efforts to obtain the rights to remake the film "Highlander." This upcoming movie will be adapted from the classic cult film of the 1980s.

 

The film will star Henry Cavill and be directed by Chad Stahelski, the director of the "John Wick" series.

 

The movie is tentatively scheduled for release in 2026.
